DfCNI was established in 2019. We are a group of Northern Ireland clinicians campaigning for UK wide decriminalisation and provision of free, safe, legal abortion in Northern Ireland.
We aim to:
Advocate for women and people who can get pregnant in their right to choose abortion as an essential part of their reproductive healthcare
Campaign for access to high-quality abortion services and sexual and reproductive health services.
Provide evidence-based information on abortion for the public, medical students and healthcare professionals. We also advocate for better education in schools on sexual and reproductive health and relationships.
Provide support to clinicians on the issue of abortion.
